Today’s topic is Migraine Headache Pain Relief, after receiving some lovely feedback from one of my clients.
This is what it’s all about - helping people experiencing pain, to feel good and get their life back.
One of my regular clients got in touch to see if there was any chance I could squeeze them in as they were experiencing an aweful ongoing migraine headache pain.
It started as a post viral headache, that developed into a migraine, and then left her with a very painful headache that had been ongoing over 10 days (ouch!!), and for which painkillers just weren’t touching.
They were checked over first by their GP and cleared of anything more serious and recommended to have a massage to help with muscular tightness that could be contributing to the headache, for some headache pain relief.
I squeezed them in for an hour appointment for their migraine headache pain before the weekend so they weren’t left suffering - because I know first hand that migraines can be absolutely debilitating.
To help their migraine headache pain, we focused on neck, shoulders, head and face muscles with hands on massage techniques; deep relaxation; and we identified and discussed how to managing any potential migraine headache triggers.
To receive this message the next day just made me so happy to know they weren’t in pain from their migraine headache any more.
If you’re reading this as someone who experiences headaches or migraines (I’m a migraine sufferer too so I sympathise!!), if you are looking for some help and support with your migraines please do get in touch.
I have many clients who have migraines and regular treatment has really helped them to identify their triggers, patterns, how stress or even hormones impacts their migraines, and in most cases has helped reduce their frequency. We even talk about diet and lifestyle factors that can impact on migraines, it’s so much more than just a tension busting, feel good massage!
